Marvel at the Avengers

An ice breaker that many people have been asked is, "if you were a superhero, which one would you be?" From young to old, superhero books and movies are favorites to many and dear to people's hearts. Many people would agree, the Avengers movies some of the all time best superhero films out there. There is a superhero for every taste and a story to go with it. Take a look to see what I experienced after watching this film and reading a review about it.

When I Went 'Into the Woods'

Into The Woods is a wonderful tale of how many of the fairytales we all know and love have come together and effected each other's paths through the woods. The most recent film (2014) was casted perfectly and, therefore, sold very well. Although many people enjoyed this film, including myself, some had a different opinion. A review of this film contradicts many people's feelings and challenges the love for such a musical; I talk about this review and how it made me feel about the film in this post.

Writer's Choice Trombones

Music is an important aspect of people's lives and without it, many would be in dyer need of entertainment. Even simple tasks such as studying are made difficult without background music. An important part of music is the instruments used to create it. Often people have distinct opinions of certain instruments and perhaps one of these instruments is the trombone. This review talks about trombones and their impact on music.

Heart Wrenching Scene

Many people decide to watch a film based on whether or not it is based on a true story and if it is a popular movie. Twelve years a slave is a popular film based on a true story. It was released in 2013 and was one of the best selling films that year. This film is full of heart wrenching scenes and it is difficult to choose a most effective scene. In this post, I chose a scene that I think is important and explained why it was so effective.

What We've Scene

"Based on real events" catches the eyes of many as it crosses the screen. Movies whose story is about true events are some of the most relatable and effective productions. Watching these movies is uplifting and often evokes a sense of empathy or sadness as the story takes unexpected turns which lead to different outcomes. One of these movies is Fruitvale Station and this post is focused on a very important scene in this moving movie.

Lacking Harry Potter

The stories of Harry Potter have touched the lives of many individuals who deeply treasure those stories. Some may argue that without reading Harry Potter one's life could not be complete. What about those who were never introduced to the stories? For example, some parents do not allow such 'witchcraft' to be watched or read by their children. This post is about how those children perceive Harry Potter and his stories based on what they have heard, but not seen or read.

Music From The Heart

According to Victor Hugo, "music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent." Therefore, a better understanding of oneself or of others may be to look into what music they enjoy or what music represents them. Not only is it enlightening to hear music from other people or cultures, but it is also important to understand the stories connected to that music and those people. I have put together a 'playlist' of songs that I think represent me along with a description of the stories behind this music in my life with hopes that others will enjoy learning about me through music.
